Need Help?

Need help with your site? If your new and need some help, look no further. Here you can also advertise your site if you need some people to come visit it! Believe me, I know what it feels like to have a blog that no one thinks exists…

First off, before you start a site it’s always good to know the basics of using WordPress.

Writing

To write a post go to “Write” and click post. Pretty simple huh? Type the title of your post, then write in the box below. To insert an image, click the square next to in “Add Media” that’s just above the box your writing your post in. Don’t forget to spell check! It’s always good to proof read your post for little mistakes also. To change the color of your font, click the blue A. You can also make something Bold, Italic, Underlined, or with a line through it! If you want to save your post click save on the right hand side. If you want to publish your post, click publish! Voila! To Write a Page, go to pages under “Write”.

Managing

To edit things, go to “Manage” which is right next to “Write”. Here you can edit posts and pages. I wouldn’t worry about “Categories” or “Tags” because I don’t find them very useful.

Widgets

What is a widget? It’s whats on the right side of my site on the home page. The boxes that have things like blog stats, my blogroll (also known as “Links”), about me, Calender etc.  To make/edit Widgets, go to “Design” which is right next to “Manage”. Click on Widgets. Select the widgets you would like to add. Don’t forget to save your changes!

Comments

To manage your comments, go to “Comments” which is right next to “Design”. Here you can Approve/Disapprove/Spam comments. Usually wordpress will send you an email telling you that you have comments to approve.

Making your site look nice

To change the style of your site go to “Design”. You can browse through the themes and select whichever one suits you. You can also make you own header!

 

Now that you’ve learned how to use wordpress, you should learn how to take and edit pictures of club penguin!

Taking Pics

I know this works for my computer, but I’m not sure if it will for yours. It’s on most PCs. Go on club penguin and go to wherever it is you want to take a picture of. Now, on the upper right hand corner of you keyboard, at the very top there should be a little button that says “Prt Sc SysRq” weird huh? I have no idea what it means. Anyways, press it. Open up Microsoft Paint. Click Edit, then Paste and a picture of your screen should appear! Next, select which portion you would like to keep. Then, open up Paint again and click edit paste. To get rid of the excess white box, (if there is any) grab the blue arrow at the bottom right corner of the box and shrink it. Then you can edit your picture using Paint!

***Be sure to include a funny pics page, that’s always nice. Be sure to keep it nice and up to date, but don’t over post. Don’t have parties until you’ve built up a good fan base otherwise no one will come and you won’t be a happy camper . Keep in mind that you have to work hard to keep your site up to date! Advertise your site as much as possible. Make sure your writing is not First Grade quality and keep it polished. Have Fun! ***
